The European Framework on sustainability reporting: CSRD

This session will explore the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the European Union's comprehensive framework for sustainability reporting.

It will cover key requirements, including:

• The expanded scope of companies subject to reporting
• Mandatory assurance
• Application of double materiality.

The discussion will highlight the alignment of CSRD with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and its broader implications for businesses operating in or trading with the EU.

Challenges and opportunities associated with implementing CSRD will be examined, emphasizing its role in fostering transparency, comparability, and accountability in corporate sustainability.
